About Arjun Randhawa

Arjun Randhawa is a proud Canadian, born in Canada and raised in Fort Saskatchewan. His journey into public service began at the young age of 20, when he led a grassroots movement that resulted in his election to Fort Saskatchewan City Council as one of Canada's youngest politicians. Serving as a Councilor from 2013 to 2017, Arjun championed numerous initiatives, advocating for lower taxes, increased transparency, community safety, and inclusive access to recreation – amongst many common-sense reforms at City Hall. 

His dedication and effectiveness were evident when he ran for Mayor in 2017, securing over 40% of the vote.

Arjun's academic credentials are equally impressive. After graduating from Fort Saskatchewan High School, he went on to attend some of the world's premier universities in recent years, including Cambridge, Harvard, and the University of Alberta. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, a Master's Degree from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Alberta. These prestigious qualifications reflect his ability to thrive in globally competitive environments and his qualified understanding in strategy, business, finance, and politics.

Professionally, Arjun brings over 12 years of diverse experience to the table. His career spans local family business, municipal government, and senior strategy and finance roles at a Fortune 100 company. Over the past five years, he has worked closely with senior leaders, traveling and working across countries like England, Hong Kong, Australia, Spain, and the USA. He has led global teams and demonstrated his ability to skillfully deconstruct complex problems at the multinational corporate stage.

Arjun, his wife Jasleen, and their Chocolate Labrador named 'Dude' currently reside in Fort Saskatchewan. Arjun and his family have a deep love for the Fort, cherishing its strong sense of community and vibrant spirit. He is committed to helping the city reach its full potential - ensuring a bright future for all its residents. 

With his extensive education and global experience, Arjun is well-qualified to address the city's largest challenges, bringing fresh leadership and a proven track record of success.
